My setup has changed significantly.

Computer:
Windows 7 64bit
Lynksys router (no wireless - all wired)

I am trying to play Halo 2 and Halo 1 on my original Xbox. I have tried forwarding the ports and I believe they are forwarded correctly. However, I am unable to find my console still. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm having a fair amount of difficulty with XBConnect; namely logging into it and using it.

When I try to login, it says "Invalid Login" a good nineteen out of twenty times. When I finally do get in, it cannot connect because of Firewall settings.

I use Norton for security, but I don't have Norton Internet Security Professional, only Norton Internet Security. The main menu for that looks different from the one of Professional and, as such, I am at a loss as to how to alter the settings to allow XBConnect to work.

I can't get Halo 1 to detect any games, i have tried the things suggested in the stickied threads, such as updating winpcap, running xbc as admin, compatibility modes, etc. But it wont show any games.. I tried using my 360 and my original xbox and none worked

I can play Halo 2 games fine over XBC.

My current setup is laptop connected to router wirelessly with the xbox connected to the ethernet port on the laptop with a standard ethernet cable.

Someone i talked to suggested halo 1 may be region locked, is that the problem?

Additional info;

Xbox/360 consoles ARE detected correctly by XBC and i have tested XIII, halo 2 and they work fine.

The hosts have opened ports, i can see other players joining the games happily. And i have all my ports opened up on my router and with Windows firewall.

System info: Windows 7 Pro x64
Latest XBC (Skinned)

Just so you know: I have a 360 arcade using a wireless connection to my airport router. My mac book is what i wanna use to setup xbox connect but i HAVE A PC WITH WINDOWS.
I think setup A is the best and easiest way for me so i wanna do that setup.
Any help as to how to set this up would help. Please I really wanna play.
I got 2 controllers and will get a third so we can have large games thanks nicecrew.
